I LOVE THIS BOOK!
Kendra runs an AWESOME website called Preschoolers & Peace. I have to warn you though…. Right in this book, she reminds us: “Peace with preschoolers does not equal a quiet house…” 🙂 She is full of REAL, practical solutions.
Circle time is not a new concept, of course. It’s been around for a LONG time. But Kendra makes a wonderful case for bringing it into your own homeschool and, even better, she tells you HOW to manage it when you’ve got little ones who aren’t so great at sitting around that long in her book, “Circle-Time: Plan the BEST Part of Your Homeschool Day”
If you don’t have this book, I highly recommend it. VERY HIGHLY! I’m new to this book and have just finished reading it, but I’m planning on implementing some of her plans just about immediately! (as in, Monday Morning!) It just might be exactly what you need to shake up that day and make it beautiful again! ♥

I don’t but I’ve always said I was going to, just never actually started. Now is a great time! 🙂
Yes, we do circle time. I have four 3 year-old children who are at the perfect age for circle time.
Right now, we just sit around our homeschool table and discuss. I’d love to incorporate circle time in our homeschool!
Every day even though it is just me and my son!!!!!
Not really, I did at the beginning of the year but seem to do things throughout the day instead.
We don’t really have a circle time. It’s just me and my 2 1/2 yr.old. We have a get ready-for-the-day time.
We don’t do it intentionally. Sometimes we all sit together and sing songs or read a book. I am interested in learning more.
I do not.
would love to do circle time I just need ideas
I have tried to do circle time but usually run out of ideas. Would love to win this to help me!
Despite the fact that I have a Kindergaerener, preschooler and a toddler, I do nothing like calendar. I can’t even get my calendar going this year.
We do a circle time of sorts occasionally. When we start focusing on preschool more, I will be doing circle time even more. This book would be an amazing blessing to our homeschool. 🙂 Thank you momma for sharing this with us!
We do a preschool to first grade co-op once a week and that’s really the only time my guys get circle time, sadly.
I don’t think so.
Nope! But I love the idea and would love to implement it!
Not a thing like it. 🙂
I use to do circle time but lack of room is hurting our usual routine
No, I do not.
We love morning circle time! All three of my children participate, it’s a wonderful way to ease into the day’s work.
No, but I think my kids would love it.
We are just getting started so we dont have much of an agenda or routine yet, I need stuff like this 🙂
Our first year homeschooling I did a circle time. I only had 1 “student” and her younger sister just watched. I don’t know why I stopped. I should start back. I’ve added a couple more kids to the mix. 🙂
We do some counting, days of the week and calendar, weather and review of what letter we are working on.
No, we don’t but would be very interested in learning about it.
We don’t but I am interested in anything that might help with my little ones attention
I do not, but I would love to learn how to do that! I never even thought about having circle time in homeschool, but love the idea.
Nope!
Not yet, I was really wondering how circle time would work with just one child. Maybe I’ll have to read it
We don’t, but it is a really cute idea for preschoolers.
