NEW FREEBIE! Farm Memory Game Plus a GREAT DEAL

Little Learning Lovies has been growing like CRAZY! :) We have our brand new Lovie Packs flying out our virtual door and we want to celebrate that with a coordinating freebie! (If you haven’t gotten your Lovie Packs yet, scroll down for more information… They are COOL!)

I made a Farm Memory Game last night. Mostly because I was testing out my brand new computer system. Well, it’s not new exactly. A friend took my old laptop, wiped it completely clean and set it up from scratch to make it better than before. Better. Faster. Stronger…. (ugh. I know. I’ll stop now) But I am happy to report that this machine is now a super computer, capable of helping me produce TONS of printables for you!

There’s your first freebie from my new computer :)

And have you seen the Lovie Packs yet? The April Packs were produced as my computer was failing me. I was hopping from computer to computer, working well into the wee hours of the morning, to get all the games done on time. I’m really happy with how they came out and I hope you like them too. We’ve had customers email us to say things like “You’re A Rockstar” or “Thank you so much! The Dictionary Skills game was really fun and the kids learned so much from it” or “Where on Earth do you find the time to do all this!” Take a look at what’s in the April Packs:

These are professional, colorful, fun games that all teach or practice a concept. No busywork here! We’re learning and having fun at Little Learning Lovies and we want you to join us! You can visit the store and click on the large picture of each pack to view ALL the games in the packs…

I want to give you a little “Insiders Tip”…
These packs are a great deal just as they sit. If you purchase either pack or even the “Both Packs” bundle, you’ll be getting each game for under $1.50 each! (They will retail later for at least $2 each, several for $5 or more each!)

But if you like the idea of these bundles, I would highly suggest purchasing a voucher set. You can purchase a 3 month pack, a 6 month pack or a 12 month pack. And each level gets you a bigger discount.

Let’s say you purchase a 3 month single voucher. That means you get to use your three vouchers on one SINGLE Lovie Pack (either the Tiny or the Little Lovie pack) during any three months you choose in the next 2 years. It also means you’ll get your files for at most $1.20 per file! (That’s if the pack has the minimum number of files in it. We expect to always have bonus files!)

Now, if you buy the 12 month voucher pack (let’s keep it to single packs for easy comparisons) you’ll be getting at least 120 files for just $0.80 each! You can see how quickly those savings add up.

Oh, and if you go for the biggest voucher pack we have, 12 month double pack (that means you get BOTH Lovie Packs for the month for each of any 12 months you like in the next 2 years!) you’d get a minimum of 240 files each for only $0.70!

Keep in mind that these packs are ONLY AVAILABLE FOR ONE MONTH! After that, the files get tucked away for a minimum of 6 months. After that, we MIGHT release individual files from the sets for sale in the store at their full retail price. The files will never be sold for less than $2 each and most of them will be more. I think you can see what a great bargain these packs really are.

If you have any questions, please let me know. And if you’ve already gotten your Lovie Pack, let us know what you think of it!

Winner Announced:

Christy Lane won our latest giveaway.  She’ll have about 48 hours to respond to the email I sent her and then I’ll have to pick another winner.

Congratulations Christy!

What would you pick from the store if you won this giveaway?

We have a new freebie at the store I think you might like. We use these as a weekly handwriting exercise but also as a way to practice showing our gratitude.

These are simple Thank You Post Cards that you print, cut apart, and then write on the back of them.  We put ours in envelopes to send them (invitation sized envelopes work perfectly) and that way we get to practice writing addresses too!

So each week, have your children think of someone to thank for anything at all.  They can thank Daddy for an extra long snuggle last night.  They can thank the mail man for bringing the mail.. You can even have them thank the local police department, or fire department, or grandma for baking with them.  It doesn’t matter how big or small the thing your children are being grateful for, it’s all about demonstrating that gratitude

Here’s mine today:

Thank you, to all of my readers, followers, subscribers and customers!  Thank you for reading.  Thank you for making Little Learning Lovies a part of your life.  Thank you for believing in me and my work.  Thank you for helping to make Little Learning Lovies actually work better than I ever thought possible.

Hello! Freebies, Merry Christmas and a Heads-Up…

Hello my dear readers!  My goodness, time flies, doesn’t it?  I’ve been busy preparing for Christmas, enjoying decorating, baking and playing with my kids, keeping school light for this month and hand making most of the gifts my children will be receiving this year.  It’s been fun!

I have some new things in the shop since we last spoke.  Most notably is a new Christmas section!  Here’s a peak at some of the things you’ll find there.  (All of it is on sale through Christmas, so I hope you enjoy it all!)

You know there has to be workbox numbers.  It’s a little late in the season to bother printing these up now, but you’ll surely be able to save the Checking His List Workbox Numbers for next year.  They are on sale for just $1.20

I have to admit: These Christmas & Winter Do-A-Dot worksheets are probably one of my favorite creations this month.  They just came out so sweet looking and so very inviting that I couldn’t resist printing an extra set so I could do them with my kids! Smile

These are on sale right now for $1.50 and would make a GREAT winter break activity.  And if you are giving anyone do-a-dot markers for Christmas, or bingo bottles etc, print these up to add to the gift!

These two different game sets are really fun.  You can get the Christmas Roll & Cover Games (Addition & Subtraction) or the Christmas Roll & Cover (Multiplication & Division)These are BOTH on sale right now for $2.40 each and they are LOADS of fun (And great for randomized fact practice too!)  These make an excellent winter break activity.

Here’s a fun game for your emergent readers.  Help Santa sort the words onto the naughty and nice lists!  Real words are “nice” and nonsense words are “naughty” Smile  There’s a nice handwriting follow up worksheet to go with it.  You can get Checkin’ It Twice on sale right now for $2.40 and you don’t need a file folder!  It was designed to be printed, a few quick cuts for the cards (really fast, I promise) and then you lay out the mats and have fun.  Merry Christmas! Smile

Merry Christmas!

I made this to hang in my house because it’s such a great reminder to just have fun and not get too bogged down in the work of Christmas to enjoy the season and everything it means to us.  Every time I look at it, I start belting out a carol, and usually the kids and even the husband join in with a big smile…

This “Christmas Cheer” sign is yours for free.  Just CLICK HERE to go get your copy of it.

HEADS UP!

I want to give you a “Heads-up” about something coming up…  It’s a surprise, but I’m telling you now that if you don’t have an account at the LLL store, you’re going to want one in the next day or so.  Winking smile  *Hint* *hint*!  How do you get an account?  Well, you can click over to the store and create one, or you can download any freebie!  I think it’s more fun to do it by getting a freebie, personally.  But you don’t have to purchase anything to create an account.  Make sure you enter a valid email address!  If you have an account but haven’t every gotten a newsletter from the store, sign in and make sure your email address is correct.

I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday (whichever holiday it is that you celebrate!) and I’ll chat with you soon!  Oh!  If you haven’t already, you should join us on Facebook.  We have a lot of fun over there and you sure do miss out on lots of new product alerts and questions we discuss.  Facebook is a great way to help influence future products and make special requests!  http://www.facebook.com/LittleLearningLovies

Please Go Vote!

I love this country.

I love it’s people.  I love it’s spirit.  I love the hope that this country stands for.

I love that in this country, we can have different opinions.  We can share those opinions.  We can question our leaders and, in fact, it is our duty to do so.

I love that we have a voice.  We can talk to our representatives and let them know what we’d like them to work on for us.  And if they aren’t listening, come November, we can vote them out.

I love that our leader isn’t a king.  He can’t rule us.  He can lead us.  But he must listen and cooperate with hundreds of direct representatives of the people.  And if we don’t like the direction he seems to be leading us in, every 4 years we get the chance to make a change.

I love that we are the most free nation on the planet.  But we must remember that with that freedom comes the responsibility to pay attention and make informed choices about who we allow to represent us and lead us.  This freedom we’ve got is a gift, but it’s fragile.  If we don’t act like responsible citizens, we’ll lose this freedom of ours.

I love that when we make a mistake as a nation, we can fix it.  And we can get right back up and move on.  And hopefully along the way, we learn something about being a nation governed by the people.

Tuesday, we get to vote.  It’s our chance to let our leaders know what we think of the job they’ve been doing.  It’s our chance to be heard.  And no matter what they tell you on the news, your voice DOES count.  Every.  Last. Vote.

I wanted to find a way to encourage you to go and vote on Tuesday and what I decided to do is offer you this.  If you go to the polls tomorrow (or today, depending on when you read this!) I want you to email me at ididit@littlelearninglovies.com and I want you to let me know what state you are from and what number your ballot was when you voted.   Then, I’ll send you a $5 gift certificate to the Little Learning Lovies Store!

Only emails sent within 1 hour of the last polls closing in the US will be eligible for this gift.  Gift certificates will be sent out later this week to the email address you email me from.  Please make sure your subject says “I Voted Today”.

Quotes From Famous Americans–Free Sample Pack

It’s not quite September (which means you still have one day left to enter the Not Back To School Blog Hop GIveaway!) but I just can’t wait to get this freebie out to you.  Our two focuses this September are going to be working with money and all the math concepts that go with it and Constitution Week.  Yesterday, you got a math freebie.  Today, we’re going to be talking about our founders.

This project is a labor of love for me. I deeply love America and it’s founders and I believe that America, and the world, could be lifted to such heights if only we would take the time to learn about the founding of America and the men and women who made this country possible. To that end, I’ve created this first set of quotes for study designed for children in 1st through about 4th or 5th grade.

This sample set that you’ll see below is the print version of the first quote in the full set. It contains 11 pages of activities all revolving around the same quote. I suggest working 5 days a week on it and allowing 2 weeks to complete the sheets. Recite the quote every day and by the end, your child will have memorized important advise and ideas from our founders! Not only that, but by working through the sheets, they will have gained a better vocabulary and a deeper understanding of the quote.

That was my aim, with these sets. I want our children not to just hear the words, but to understand them. So for each quote, I chose the 5 most difficult words and produced meaningful vocabulary work around them. These are not words that your typical 2nd grader will ever be asked to study. Many of these words aren’t expected of a child until middle or high school. But they are understandable with a little help and practice. And by introducing and working with these words now, we are giving our children the keys they need to unlock not only our history, but our future. Lofty goals for a copywork pack, I know. But lets work together and see if we can’t manage it! :)

(In the full version, there are 5 quotes, each with 11 pages, and they are presented in print, manuscript and cursive – Full version available next week)

Take a look at some of the sheets from the sample pack.

Each quote set starts with learning the pronunciation, definition and spelling for 5 words from the quote.  This is done before they ever see or hear the quote.

After learning the 5 words, children listen to, read and recite the quote.  A poster of the quote is included so that you can review it often.

Students are given several different opportunities to practice writing the quote.  This helps with handwriting and with memorization and spelling.

Again, a variety of activites are included to help practice and master the definitions of the 5 vocabulary words.  Mastery is the goal here.

There are 11 different sheets for each quote (only one quote included in the freebie) and by the completion of the pack, students should have a deep understanding of the quote and be able to recite it.

I hope you enjoy it and I hope you take a moment to enter the giveaway!
