Introducing Our New Monthly “Lovie Packs”

Little Learning Lovies is embarking on a new adventure this year.  We had some great feedback from customers as we’ve tweaked and played with this idea and we’re now ready to get going on our first ever month of Lovie Packs.

Each month, Little Learning Lovies will introduce a new set of packs centered on a particular theme.  All of the products contained in each Lovie Pack will be brand new, never before released games and activities.  You’ll be able to purchase each pack for just $14 (they will always have a retail value of $20 or more and contain at least 8 different games and activities!).  Take a look at the program details:

  • There will be two packs available each  month:  Tiny Lovies (Prek-1) and Little Lovies (1-3)
  • Each pack will only be available for one month.  It will never be offered again.  Some individual titles from each pack might be offered later in the store for full retail price, but only a minimum of 6 months after it appeared in a pack. Retail price on every individual title will be a minimum of $2.
  • Packs will always contain new material, never before released in the store.
  • Packs will always have a minimum retail value of $20 and will contain a minimum of 8 different games and activities.
  • Bonus products for families may be included.  (Calendars and Planners etc)
  • You will be able to purchase each pack for $14 or both packs for $25 (Saving you $3!)
  • You can also purchase “Lovie Pack Vouchers” in advance for a significant discount. (See Below for Details)

To start off this whole project with a bang, we’re offering the option for you to Pre-Purchase the April pack for over 60% off!  Click here to see the kinds of games and activities you’ll get in the April pack (hint: it’s a “Farm Time” theme!) and to pre-purchase for just $8.50! The April Pack is still under construction so check this description often for updated information and preview images!

How Do “Lovie Pack Vouchers” Work?

At any time, you can purchase a pack of coupon codes that will be one time use for Lovie Packs only.  Remember, each Lovie Pack will have a minimum retail value of $20.  This is a great way to get a lot of activities and games for very little.

How much do they cost?

The regular price of each pack is $14.  Or, if you buy both packs for the month, they are $25.  Here’s how much you can save by pre-purchasing future months.

  • A 3 month voucher pack for one pack at a time is $36  (That’s just $12 per pack)
  • A 3 month voucher pack for BOTH monthly packs is $64.50 (That’s just $10.75 per pack!)
  • A 6 month voucher pack for one pack at a time is $60 (Just $10 per pack)
  • A 6 month voucher pack for BOTH monthly packs is $107 (About $8.90 per pack!)
  • A 12 month voucher pack for on pack at a time is $96 (just $8 per pack!)
  • *BEST VALUE* A 12 month voucher pack for BOTH monthly packs is $170 (That’s just $7.08 per pack!)

Do I have to redeem a voucher every month even if I don’t like the theme?

NO!  Smile  You’ll have a full 2 years from the date of purchase to use your vouchers.  That way, if a theme comes up that you aren’t fond of, you can just skip it and use your voucher another time.

How will I get my vouchers?

Once purchased, I’ll set up your vouchers for you and email them to you in a PDF file.  They will also be kept on file here so that if you lose your email you can just email me and I’ll resend it!  Each voucher is a coupon code that you’ll be able to use only once and only on product you pre-paid for.

I’m not sure I will like the packs.  Do I have to buy vouchers?

NO!  The vouchers are here to help you save money.  Every monthly pack will be available to everyone for the full $14 price.  If, at any point, you decide that you are comfortable with the quality and variety in the packs and you’d like to save some money by pre-paying for vouchers, you may come back to the store at any time to do that.  Once purchased, vouchers can not be refunded.

I see that I can pre-purchase next months packs.  Will I still have 2 years to use that voucher?

For our first month, April 2013, we are offering a pre-purchase voucher.  This will help introduce customers to the packs for a very small cost.  Unlike our multi-voucher packs, this voucher will only be good for April 2013 and will expire at the end of the month.

Where do I see information about the current packs?

You can click here to see the current Lovie Pack offerings and sometimes preview next months pack too!  You can also purchase Lovie Pack Vouchers here.

I have more questions!  Who do I ask?

You can email me, Sandra, at service@littlelearninglovies.com anytime!

New, Updated and Fun…

New:

We use All About Spelling here and I just created a new test booklet just like the one we use all the time.  If you haven’t checked out All About Learning Press, you are in for a real treat!  They have amazing products that teach spelling and reading thoroughly!  Kids (and parents) really learn the language, not just enough to get by, but they learn to read and spell with mastery.

You can get our test book below (which works with any spelling program, not just AAS).

Updated:

We have a very popular set of printable coins that has been updated.

If you previously purchased this one, you can log back into your account and just re-download to get the bigger file.  It now includes extra coins not seen in the original pack, plus we’ve added in a BUNCH of bills.   All for your money learning pleasure!  I hope you come check it out!

Fun:

I mentioned this a few days ago, but TODAY (March 15th) is the last day that you can get a $15 Gift Certificate to spend at Educents just by giving them your email address.  They are a new “Daily Deals” sort of site that is just for educators.  They say that we will be able to save 30-90% and that’s pretty sweet.  They launch on April 2nd.

If you don’t sign up today, you can still get a $10 gift certificate by signing up anywhere from March 16th through April 1st.  The key is to get your email address in to them BEFORE they launch on the 2nd.  I’m looking forward to it and I hope you are too!

“Hoo’s” New at Little Learning Lovies?

I recently purchased a new graphics set from Scrappin’ Doodles (I LOVE their graphics!  Smile )  and they have been adorning many of my latest creations.  This week, I have released to new packs decorated with these lovely little owls…

OwlThemeSpringButton

Currently, this theme has workbox tags and two place value sets (they are really fun and you should check them out if you are or will be working on place value).  You can see quick samples of them below and click through to the store to see more about them.

To make sure you hear about new products right away, be sure to “Like” LLL on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/LittleLearningLovies

What games do YOU want to see made with this theme?

Time to Tell Time!

One of my daughters is struggling with those very tricky analog clocks and their secret time keeping abilities.  She has a few particular issues but mostly, she just needs more practice figuring it all out.

Most of the worksheets that come with her regular curriculum are, to be blunt, boring!  I usually love her curriculum (Math Mammoth, if you’d like to know) but on this topic, it just isn’t working for her.  So, I decided to make some fun stuff for her… and you!

This game comes with 24 color coded cards.  There are a few ways you can use them, but my favorite way is to cut them apart and hang them up around the house (or classroom).  Then, the children take their recording sheets and go searching for the cards.  Once they find one, they write what time it says near the matching picture on their sheet.  It’s a really fun and different way to practice that gets them up and moving a bit rather than staying in their seats.

The cards in Easter “Time” – A “Telling Time” Game are color coded so you can adjust the game to fit the level of the children you are working with.  The blue bordered ones tell time to the whole hour.  The yellow ones tell time to each quarter hour and the green ones go to every five minutes.  You can hang up just one set or you can hang them all up and tell each child what color border to look for.  Or they can find one of each picture with ANY color border…

I hope you get a chance to check this one out at the store!  (And you can use “March2013” coupon code to get 10% off!)

One of the things my daughters book was working on with her was telling time with phrases.  They used “On The Hour”, “A Quarter After”, “Half Past”, and “A Quarter To”.  This proved tricky for her.  So I made this Easter themed game to help her.

In “A Quarter To … Easter!”, there are 32 egg cards, 16 with analog time and 16 with digital time, that children will sort to the right place on the mats.  You can put the mats in a file folder for easier game play or keep the mats apart if you’d like.

I hope you enjoy these games!  Tell me, what themes do YOU want to see show up in the store?

I would like to highlight here the Hagemann Family Adoption Bundle.  This bundle includes over $80 worth of LLL games and we regularly sell it for only $50.  Half of that amount goes directly to the Hagemann family to help them adopt a special needs child from overseas.  Today, though… You can get this bundle for only $20!  That’s $20 for over $80 worth of games PLUS half of your purchase will still go to the Hagemanns!  This is an amazing deal you won’t see here very often.

Winner Announced:

Christy Lane won our latest giveaway.  She’ll have about 48 hours to respond to the email I sent her and then I’ll have to pick another winner.

Congratulations Christy!

What would you pick from the store if you won this giveaway?

We have a new freebie at the store I think you might like. We use these as a weekly handwriting exercise but also as a way to practice showing our gratitude.

These are simple Thank You Post Cards that you print, cut apart, and then write on the back of them.  We put ours in envelopes to send them (invitation sized envelopes work perfectly) and that way we get to practice writing addresses too!

So each week, have your children think of someone to thank for anything at all.  They can thank Daddy for an extra long snuggle last night.  They can thank the mail man for bringing the mail.. You can even have them thank the local police department, or fire department, or grandma for baking with them.  It doesn’t matter how big or small the thing your children are being grateful for, it’s all about demonstrating that gratitude

Here’s mine today:

Thank you, to all of my readers, followers, subscribers and customers!  Thank you for reading.  Thank you for making Little Learning Lovies a part of your life.  Thank you for believing in me and my work.  Thank you for helping to make Little Learning Lovies actually work better than I ever thought possible.

I’m not sure if I told you here yet, but you can get our really fun Alphabet Dot Art set for free with ANY PURCHASE! Smile  So go grab something at 60% off today and then go enter code “FreeDots” to get the Alphabet Dot Art set for free Smile  You can read about how we use this with our 2 year old HERE.  Enjoy!

Weekends, Apple Fritters & George Washington

What do those three things have in common?  Well, actually not that much.  Smile  Except that this weekend, I made apple fritters for the first time while I was thinking about George Washington’s Birthday which is celebrated this coming Monday (NOTE: His actual birthday is on Friday, February 22nd).  A loose association, to be sure.  But one that works beautifully for what I want to tell you in this blog post!

First, I have to tell you about those apple fritters!

IMG_3439

Oh. My. Goodness!  This mountain of fritters worked up so quickly and easily that I can’t imagine NOT making them rather frequently.  One large apple was enough to make this whole batch.  I would say we made enough to feed at least 10 to 12 people.

Unless those people are me.

Then it’s only enough for 1.  Smile

I used this recipe from my sister Jennie’s blog.  Here is her amazing picture of deliciousness:

Cup of coffee anyone? Yum!

If you haven’t had the chance to poke around there, she is an amazing woman who homeschools her 7 darling children while living her dream life on a farm.  She writes beautifully and time spent on her blog is time well spent!  I hope you have the chance to visit with her soon.  If not, at least try her apple fritter recipe.  It is amazing!

In other news, Presidents day is coming up this Monday.  His ACTUAL birthday is really on Friday.  So we will be celebrating him and his life this coming week.

I got to thinking that you might like to enjoy a special sale on our “Quotes From Famous Americans – George Washington” set.  So it’s 50% off right now!  Your children will get to practice handwriting, memorization, vocabulary, history and so much more in this pack.  You can actually use this pack for 5 to 10 weeks of practice!  And you get the print version, manuscript version AND the cursive version all together.

We have a few other specials you should check out too.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and enjoy celebrating George Washington.  And what better way to celebrate him that with copywork and some apple fritters?  Okay.  I know it’s a bit of a stretch, but I’m currently of the opinion that EVERYTHING should be celebrated with apple fritters
